Event Manager for Friends of the Earth.
The role required creativity, project management, financial and communication skills, along with the ability to reduce the environmental impact of events.
Examples:

The Big Ask Live: An exclusive concert with Thom Yorke & Jonny Greenwood
Production manager. Officially the first date of the Radiohead world tour, the event sold out (1,500 tickets) in less than two minutes and raised £120,000.

I-Count: An event on Trafalgar Square, to raise awareness about climate change
Assistant stage manager. Featured performances from Razorlight and KT Tunstell. The event attracted over 35,000 people and international media coverage.

Climate Quiz : A televised game show at the Labour Party Conference
Production manager, delivering a high quality event, within strict time and security restrictions. The event featured senior politicians as contestants and was broadcast on BBC2’s Newsnight.

The Big Ask Campaign: Attendance at major outdoor events, to build support for climate change campaign.
Project manager. The events we attended included the G8 Summit, Big Chill and Wychwood festival. As a direct result over 36,000 people pledged support for the Friends of the Earth campaign.
